Little Flower House Concert #26

The April 2022 house concert featured Indianapolis local Cosmic Americana, country rock band The Auburns.

The Auburns are David Garza on guitar and vocals, Gary Wasson on bass and vocals, Jon Martin on guitar and vocals, David Pleiss on drums and vocals, and Joe Alterio on pedal steel. This band is a local Indy supergroup and it was a special treat to host them in such an intimate setting. All of the talented guys in this band have solo projects and perform with other groups throughout Central Indiana. Gary Wasson, even hosts a weekly open mic night.

With a 5-piece band including full drum kit, they had quite the setup! We had planned to have this concert outside but stormy weather forced us inside. It was a full house and we got the disco ball spinning to set that cosmic country mood. One guest said “You all rocked the house Friday night!!! Thank you, as always, for taking me back in time!” and they really did have that country Americana sound of the late 60s.

We had a great time playing and appreciated the generous hospitality and wonderful and attentive audience we had. A great time was had!”
