Little Flower House Concert #35

At the December 2022 house concert, guests enjoyed a performance by Nick Dittmeier & The Sawdusters. The band is made up of singer, songwriter, and guitarist Nick Dittmeier, along with JD Mackinder on bass, and Josh Bradey on drums.

Nick has a great voice that’s natural, intentional, and charming. The stories in his tunes carry a real view of the world and its struggles, realities, patterns, and becoming. The band is described as “Twangy Hoosier Music” elsewhere online, but the house concert was a more acoustic vibe. Those who enjoy blues and Americana would definitely dig the Nick Dittmeier & The Sawdusters sound.

Musician Comments…

“Kati was gracious enough to host us at her house concert series in December. Little Flower offers what musicians and patrons are looking for in a house show experience–community, a listening experience, and a break from traditional music venues. Whether you’re a musician or a patron, you’ll have a great musical experience at the Little Flower House Concert Series.” said bandleader, Nick Dittmeier.

JD said… “Had a blast playing and hope to do it again sometime!”

Guest Sketcher Creates Artwork at the House Concert

Steven Tanaka… at it again! He attended the Nick Dittmeier & The Sawdusters house concert and created these one-of-a-kind sketches.

It’s so neat how creativity breeds more creativity. This artwork is a really sweet way to document a live experience that also contributes to the event itself.

The Last Little Flower House Concert of 2022

Cheers to another year of house concerts in an intimate space! As the host, I am grateful for all of the support of my friends and neighbors and happy that we can create these meaningful experiences together. I have worked to be consistent with this series and bring diverse artists to the East Side of Indy. Thank you to those who attend and regularly support this little live monthly event. I think it’s pretty special and offers something unique every time. This is not an experience you can have in a bar or club. This monthly evening of listening and connecting has spread a little kindness and I think it has helped artists and our community thrive a little more. I intend to continue the series as long as I can. See you in 2023! ~With love, Kati
