Little Flower House Concert #23

The January 2022 house concert featured Ohio-based duo, Cave Twins.

The Cave Twins are David Mayfield on mandolin & Abby Rose on guitar. They sing beautiful harmonies together and performed both happy and sad songs that made house concert guests feel connected. Their music has been described as, “A nice mix of short cute little songs & shorter cuter littler songs”.

David a Grammy & Emmy nominated artist has a fun way of relating with his listeners through his silly humor. Throughout the evening he would make little jokes and was very animated in his playing. He really has a way of getting his bandmate Abby and house concert guests laughing. The very talented Abby’s sweet and melancholic voice also resonated with guests. Their sweet tunes ranged from folk to gospel with lovely harmonies.

After the group was introduced, David said “We’re gonna start pretty soon, but first we’re going to play some music to hold you over.” HA! Everyone was, obviously, there for the music and it was a lovely evening of listening together.
