Little Flower House Concert #8
The December 2019 house concert was fun, energetic, and very memorable. Gritty N’ Craft are true performers! This duo is made up of two dynamic Indianapolis-based artists, Aaron Grinter and Joshua Short. This duo knows how to entertain while sharing their art and perspective. Their dance, poetry, and spoken-word artistry had an important message that got folks listening even more attentively.
Gritty N’ Craft use their art not only to entertain, but also to spread socially conscious messages. Their slogan “Gold All In My Black Skin”, pushes a message of self love and self value, and is a trademark at all of their performances. Black lives matter.
Their audience participation was top notch! Aaorn and Joshua integrated creative word games into the experience. This involved individual participation but everyone was involved in keeping the creative energy going.
One tune performed was completely improv. The lyrics were made-up, on the spot, using the names, words, and feelings from items in the room. This really made house concert guests feel immersed in the music and experience.
The intimate setting for the Gritty N’ Craft house concert really brought folks together. There was so much fun, laughter, and positive energy shared that night.
