Little Flower House Concert #11

Dear Lincoln performed in early March of 2019 at the last Little Flower House Concert before the pandemic hit. It was an amazingly free, fun, concert with a house full of listeners. This local Indianapolis band has a happy vibe. They really knew how to send positivity into our community.

With four group members on various instruments and vocals, they have a sound all their own. The band Dear Lincoln consists of Nathan Thompson on vocals, guitar, piano, and percussion, Eric Fury on guitar and vocals, Lyndsey Fury on vocals, ukulele, and percussion, and Jimmy Wingett on banjo, wind instruments, vocals, and percussion.

Here’s what the band Dear Lincoln had to say about their experience.

Eric Fury said, “We are glad we had the opportunity to be part of the Little Flower House Concert Series… It was an amazing intimate venue for our original music. “

And here’s what Nathan Thompson had to say. “My favorite part about the Little Flower House Concert, was definitely just having a captive audience that was completely focused on our music. We even got them to sing a chorus with us and having them all participate was just a really special experience!”

Lindsey Fury said, “Kati is providing such a special treasure for the Little Flower community and the Indianapolis music scene. In general, I loved playing in Kati’s neat house, especially in front of a little Kermit the frog in a rocking chair, but I also appreciated connecting with people, who felt like my neighbors, over local music.”

Lastly, Jimmy Wingett said, “I just think that what Kati has done through the Little Flower House Concert Series in terms of creating a supportive environment to promote local artists and musicians is really admirable and something that we should all strive to do a little bit. She’s really become a fixture in the local art and music scene here in Indianapolis. We’re proud to have been invited to play a small part in what she has built.”
