Little Flower House Concert #19
The backyard space was full for the house concert that featured local artist, Michael Kelsey. He has a significant following already but the Little Flower friends and neighbors were excited to hear him perform in an intimate setting. With a sound all his own, Michael’s unique sound, percussive playing, and mixing of genres was so fun to see created in front of you. He has his own way of playing the guitar, looping over his sounds, and building unique compositions and putting his lyrics to it. There were some several one of a kind moments at this house concert that were memorable. Michael Kelsey really knows how to get his audience involved in the music.
A favorite moment was when some kids from the neighborhood who had come to the house concert with their families sat in the front row. Michael Kelsey decided to improvise a song for them on the spot. It got the kids more interested and giggling but the audience loved it too. He even played a new song that didn’t have a title yet. Several guests chimed in with song title ideas. Michael Kelsey’s house concert was so engaging.
Here’s what Michael Kelsey had to say about his experience performing at the Little Flower House Concert Series. “A welcoming space that creates a unique and unforgettable experience. The first time in already feels like coming home. The kind of event that instantly makes you feel connected to friends you haven’t met yet. Kati has a gift for making the space, the purpose, and the people all harmonize. Hearts automatically fall into the right place and it is a beautiful thing. We need more of this.”
