Soulful Singer Songwriter Duo
Little Flower House Concert #32
At the September 2022 house concert, guests enjoyed a performance by Indiana locals Josh Kaufman and Cliff Ritchey. Many know Josh Kaufman as talented Indianapolis native who won NBC’s The Voice, season 6. His music is described as “pop, rock, folk, and jazz with an underlying soul base” and it paired perfectly in this duo house concert performance that also featured Cliff Ritchey. Cliff is also a talented award-winning musician from Markleville, IN who sings about his simply country life. The two played most of their sets together harmonizing tunes that both of them had written but they played some solo songs as well. The house concert was well attended and it was the perfect setting to see these two very talented artists play in our East Side neighborhood
Here’s what Josh had to say after the house concert… “Cliff and I loved playing the Little Flower House Concert Series. The set up and atmosphere were great. The audience was engaged and attentive. This is the kind of house show that makes me love playing house shows!”
House concerts sure are special because of those musicians who share their talents, the guests who attend, and the intimate space we share the experience in. The weather was perfect this time so the concert was held outside. Everyone was greeted by bubbles (via the bubble machine) and enjoyed a beautiful outdoor house concert. There were several kids and a few dogs in attendance too! Families are always welcome at the house concerts. It’s always fun to meet new friends and neighbors. The kids can play together with the hula hoops and draw on the sidewalks with chalk. The vibe is so friendly and welcoming… anyone can come enjoy a house concert!
End of Summer House Concert
End of summer concerts are so fun because it’s not so hot and the setting sun provides a lovely backdrop. It also lets everyone enjoy some fun lighting as night approaches, including the Little Flower House Concert Series sign out front that was lit! It’s hard to know if we will get to have another outdoor concert this year, but this sure was a great one.
While we did not have a food vendor this time, there were snacks available and our drink sponsors delivered plenty of beverages for guests to enjoy. Thank you again to Black Acre, Upland, and Mark Gasper Presents for providing drinks.
Sponsors of the Little Flower House Concert Series help make the experience better for guests!
Also, representatives Stacie Hurrlie and Stacie Jasorka with ARPO – Alliance for Responsible Pet Ownership cute kittens at the house concert. Guests had the chance to snuggle these cute kitties if they wanted to. All of these kittens are available for adoption! ARPO has kittens and other pets available that need forever homes. Can you adopt one and give them a loving home?
